November Newsletter
Hello November! Somehow October flew by and the tail end of it is blowing out of sight as I sit and write this! We had such a great month as we learned new songs and rhymes, introduced more loose parts and explored pumpkins, inside and out! The Nature Box project was a success and we got all sorts of cool natural material to touch, see and smell. The students were so proud to open the box and show the group what they had found each day at circle time. Now, we head into the ending days of Autumn, where we can observe the trees without their leaves and talk about how the animals in the forest get ready for the cold weather. We will also spend a lot of time discussing gratitude and what it means to be thankful. This can be a hard concept for children this age to grasp, but they usually get it, in their own way. Speaking of gratitude, we are so very grateful to work with your children everyday! It is so rewarding to see a child's face when they "get it" or can do something for the very first time! We feel lucky to be a part of the GCS community, and a small part of your family too! We are looking forward to Grandparent's Day and having extended family visit the classroom. The students love to show their special guests around their space, their home away from home. November is cozy and love and family. Enjoy!
